Personal BioBernard J Parsons - Graphic Design & Artist - Film Editor - Consultant Originally from Newfoundland, Bernard Parsons came to Montreal in 1991 to start his career as an artist and began his long struggle in design and media. Getting positions where he could do work as an artist, he started as a color separator and part time graphic artist for print in the garment industry. Seeking new challenges, he got his first break working for larger firms as a wed and graphic designer and began making his career as a web designer and consultant. Later Bernard took the opportunity to put himself through school to study 2D and 3D animation, as well as post production. After graduating, he landed a position with Lone Monkey, a partner of Gala Films to work on Fungus the Bogeyman as assistant director and assistant project manager. After leaving the Fungus the Bogeyman project, he work a short time on another animation called Monica Made in America, produced by Mangalatina Productions, this time working as a 3D artist and background designer for the film. Since then Bernard continued working as a freelance artist for many years for small companies and corporate alike, providing his skill as a professional web designer and specialist as developer and consultant within the web and media design industry. Working with such companies as EquityFeed where Bernard worked for more than ten years as a consultant, helping with the development of their web site, corporate branding, as well as see to the design of their in house tools and software platform. With his growing passion for media and design, he took a new path towards video games and film. In the past five years Bernard has involved himself in film editing and production from short films and animation as both editor and animator for a number of small projects. Having an opportunity to work with upcoming musician, artist and film director G. Scott MacLeod, Bernard has work with Scott MacLeod for many years as editor for many of his projects and was included as animator for his first short film documentary “After The War With Hennelore” and post editor for “The Saga of Murdo MacLeod”. During this he had continued working on other projects which led him to video game design. Partnering with Sylvain Rochon, CEO of Sylien Games Entertainment, Bernard works as lead art director for all projects pertaining to game development by Sylien Games Entertainment.
