Weighing out the hours...
Well I've been plugging away the past couple of weeks, working late into the night on the latest installment to Sylien's upcoming iPhone game apps. Managing an online business and working evenings is slowing taking its toll on me and I can't wait to have a little time off.
But putting together these last two apps before I have a meltdown has been coming along very well and I'm very satisfied with my work. For me I always want to perfect my designs and work, but with a time schedule, there isn't enough time to do some of the things I want to do.
Working with Sylvain, CEO of Sylien Entertainment has been quite satisfying as an artist and as a game lover. I have been given the freedom to be creative and full autonomy of all the artwork on these projects and I'm getting better and better at it, and it shows. Looking forward to the next batch of game apps that will be coming my way soon and soon to you people out there as well.

Empress Blue Music Video
The Empress Theater in the West End of Montreal was the inspiration for this musical number done by G. Scott MacLeod. It pictates a rallying cry for the protection and preservation of the old theater that once housed many famous musicians, performers and entertainers alike. Scott MacLeod’s vision like many people who live in NDG, home of the Empress Theater, wanted to see this great monument turned into the Empress Cultural Centre serving the people and community of NDG/CDN.
The Murdo MacLeod Story
In the summer of 2010 I had the opportunity to work with “G. Scott MacLeod” on an animated short called the “The Saga of Murdo MacLeod”. Scott is currently enrolled in a Masters in Art Education a Concordia University and very interested in animation and documentary as a platform for producing educational content for children. He is currently doing the post production work for “The Saga of Murdo MacLeod” at the National Film Board of Canada with editor Phyllis Lewis. The short was written and narrated by legendary Irish story teller Mike Burns.
Words form Scott MacLeod:
The Saga of Murdo MacLeod is one of the many untold European-First Nations first contact stories in Quebec. I believe there is still more room for Canadian animators and filmmakers to explore this area of history, as these stories are unknown to many Canadians and the world at large. I am interested in these cross-cultural stories from our history, as a result of growing up in the culturally diverse city of Montreal, coming from Scottish lineage, and from working with Mohawk, Squamish and Cree Nations over my twenty-five year career in music and art. The animation we worked on was an animated story board which helped secure financing for the film.

Griffintown Tour
The Griffintown Tour is a project that was in mind by G. Scott MacLeod for some time, it documents 21 of the key residential and industrial buildings and historical sites remaining in Griffintown, an historic Montreal neighbourhood that birthed the Industrial Revolution in Canada and was once home to a large immigrant community. AFTER THE WAR WITH HANNELORE
In 2009, G. Scott MacLeod set out to direct a short documentary call AFTER THE WAR WITH HANNELORE, A Berliner War Child’s Testimony from 1945 to 1989. This film was his was his first trial at directing and filming this documentary basded during the cold war in Berlin and how Hannelore Scheiber and her family lived during the Russian blockade and the Berlin Airlift, through her school years in the partitioned city, to the very construction of the Berlin Wall.
